The band first formed in late 2011 drawing together their influences of hard rock and melodic songwriting. Currently the band are working on their first album, a combination of home recordings and professional studio tracks that will be availible in the summer.

Lock up Laura is a band that writes original material both acoustic and fully distorted. The creativity and emphasis of the band is to write music that people can related to whilst using an 'American-Style' sound that is somewhat lost in music today.

Whether the songs are based on a distorted RIFF or acoustic chord progression each song is held together by two things, a melodic thoughtful vocal line and powerful beat on the drums.
